Nandan Shastry

Nandan Shastry is 17 years old, a junior in High School (11 th Grade). He has been learning music from his guru Shri. Hemant Kulkarni for the past 8 years. Nandan has been performing as an invited artist both in the USA and abroad. Notable performances were at Pandit Jasraj Institute of Music, New Jersey, USA, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, London, Maadhayam Performing Arts Center, New Jersey, USA (where he was felicitated with ‘Swara Gandhrava award’), Gaanakala parishath, Shimoga, India, Sadaashiv Mandir, Honk Kong, China among others. Through music Nandan is involved in community activities like raising money for Sankara eye Foundation, USA, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, London UK and volunteers at Hospice patients centers in NJ experimenting Music Therapy. Nandan lives with his parents and brother in New Jersey, USA.
